Forklift Certification
We can deliver forklift operator training certification programs at our various district locations in the school district. Modeled on the Ives Training Program. You can expect the best certification program out there.
If you want to become a forklift operator the first thing you need to do is get certified. First and foremost it’s a matter of safety – not only for you but for those working around you as well. If that wasn’t reason enough, certified forklift drivers save money. While safety is the top priority a company’s bottom line is a very close second. Every year millions of dollars are lost due to forklift accidents that could have been prevented with proper training.
Benefits of having a forklift license include:
-
Job placement opportunities
-
Proven competency of forklift operation
-
Reduced risk of workplace accidents
-
Improved forklift efficiency and reduced operating costs
-
Improved productivity and increase profits for the busines
Here is an excerpt from Ives.
IVES Training Group and IVES Certified Trainers train more lift truck operators than any other company in North America. We set the standard for workplace safety when it comes to the operation of counterbalanced forklifts, narrow aisle reach truck forklifts, rough terrain telehandler forklifts (variable reach) and powered pallet trucks. Our trainer programs aren’t make or model specific, we cover all types of forklifts including Clark, Hyster, Raymond, Clark, Crown, John Deer, Toyota, Nissan and Yale.
From Work Safe BC
Forklift operators are expected to be trained in accordance with CSA Standard B335-94, Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training. (OHSR16.7(j))The employer must ensure that workers have completed training and testing to meet performance criteria set out in CSA Standard B335-94 before assigning tasks as a lift truck (fork lift) operator. Training may be conducted either by a third-party provider or by the employer.
Our Program ensures certification set out by the The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) which is referenced and incorporated by law through federal, provincial, and territorial OHS Regulations. Our mandate is to train until you certify. Although the course can take as little as one day, if more time is needed our instructors will spend that time in order to ensure that upon
completion you are not only a certified forklift operator, but also a well trained, safe, and knowledgeable asset to your
prospective company. If you are a student in our trades programs and would like to get your Forklift Certification please contact:
